Your ASIS Puget Sound Chapter is happy to announce our first in-person Chapter meeting since March of 2020 at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Woodinville, WA. The meeting will be broadcasted live via Zoom for any attendees who choose to attend virtually (registration is required). The Meeting will be from 3:00-5:00 pm on Wednesday, August 4th. All attendees will be required to complete an Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability waiver.
Topic: Armed Assailant and Active Shooter Response
Presented by Bill Cooper.
Bill Cooper is a retired Chief of Police and Corporate Security Manager, having managed at Microsoft and T-Mobile. Bill managed Operations, Executive Protection, Workplace Violence Intervention, Systems and the Command Center. Bill has instructed Active Shooter workshops in the private sector, higher education and houses of worship.
In addition to the practical elements of responding to a violent incident, Bill discusses lessons learned from active shooter cases, what commonalities there are among shooters and preemption strategies. The presentation emphasizes what Corporate Security managers should know, train for and evaluate current status versus what should be done.
The chapter meeting will conclude with a security tour of the winery, and a networking happy hour for those who would like to participate.
